Christmas Traditions & A Writing Wrap Up

file3411261720085Hi everyone! The hubs just took his final exam in psychiatry, and he is off for the next two weeks. We will be enjoying Christmas right here in NJ, and I’m hoping for a white  Christmas!! Hubs already has a two week rotation scheduled covering next Christmas and New Years so this could be our last Christmas with time off together for a very long time.

As such, we have some fun things planned from putting out reindeer food to making a wonderful meal together just the two of us. It’s fun to get to create Christmas traditions all your own. The beans won’t remember them but at least we can say we’ve done these things from their first Christmas. 🙂 Can’t wait!

What are some of your Christmas traditions?

  1. I hope you guys enjoy the time off together!!! Our biggest tradition is going into the city on Christmas Eve. We go to church and see the tree at Rockefeller. We all look forward to it every year.

  2. Your cozy Christmas sounds divine! We love having our quiet little Christmas at home too and then visiting family after the holidays are over. I’m really hoping for a white Christmas too, but it’s kind of looking like it’s going to be on the warm side…
Thank you so much for including my post! I really appreciate it 🙂

  3. Hi! Yay for hubby having some time off! We always make a yummy meal just the two of us, too (after the girls go to bed). My husband is super busy with work now, so Christmas Day will be his only day off. We’ll probably cook dinner together on Christmas Eve and (maybe) exchange gifts!

Also, I noticed one of the posts you shared was from The Penny Hoarder! I just wrote my very first article for that site and it should be published next month some time. The editor I’m in touch with is so nice and I hope to make this a regular thing! Have you been writing there for a while?!

    Hope you enjoy your holidays!!!

  4. Thanks for the mention! I hope you enjoy your holidays together! Glad your husband gets a few weeks off. I would say he deserves it at this point!!!
We both have to work the day after Christmas so our holiday celebration will be pretty short =/
