The Ghosts of Christmas Past

I promised you some fun awkward family photos from Christmases past.
My brother, sister, and I sure had some doozies.
One of my favorites – Our dog had puppies right before Christmas. I’m on the left, choking a puppy.
Note the angelic face.
Ah, and here were are wearing some pretty um…. awesome outfits (sorry mom) while we played on our rope swing. My brother is the one upside down. Yes, it is torture having two older sisters.
When I asked my mom for “that ugly Christmas picture with the sweaters,” I think she was offended. So, yeah, here is the picture in our very *fancy* sweaters…. from Australia. Random? Check. Number of koalas on each of our sweaters? Approximately 8.
From the year where I took scissors to my own hair in an attempt to never wear bows again. You can see how well that worked out for me:
And, he were are angry that our awesome three wheeling adventure was interrupted with a photo. Of course, I have to feel a pang for the beautiful and fun back yard I grew up playing in that was completely devastated in Hurricane Katrina.
You can see the difference in the back yard in this 2005 shot.

Ah, c‘est la vie.
Oh, and if you are wondering if my little brother survived all of that torture, fear not. Here is a picture of the three of us at my wedding last January 2. It’s hard to torture someone who grew to 6’2″ in the span of a few years. 🙂
Surely, I can’t be the only one with embarrassing pictures? Go ahead, spill yours and feel free to put a link in the comment section!
