Welcome to the 8th This is {Wherever} Wednesday Parrr-tayy! This is where you can write a blog post about your favorite/most hated/most hilarious moments in your hometown. Do you live in a city where the folks get snippy? Or maybe you experienced a random act of kindness? Or perhaps you noticed something beautiful in nature? Or, hey, maybe you just love that hometown coffee shop down the street. If so, I want to know about it!
In order to participate, you’ll need to click the blue button at the bottom of this page that says “Add Your Link” and follow the instructions. Then, insert a link back to my blog in your post. Have some questions? No problemo. Just e-mail me at Cat [at] BudgetBlonde [dot] com.
Here are some favorites from last week:
Sarah wrote about the 1983 Grenada invasion in a way that won’t put you to sleep.
My bloggy bff Whit wrote a hilarious account of her “Island Jeep.” Warning: this story involves a blow torch.
Marisa showed us a pretty interesting picture of a peep show sign in Detroit. Klassy.
I helped Nicole sew a pretty sweet tote bag. It was her first time using a sewing machine.
Lastly, Laura wrote about a whole slew of T.I.G.’s. Here’s my favorite: “It’s been said that dryers eat socks. Well, that is not entirely true. It is the washer. It ate one of Mike’s socks and then spit it out covered in dirt through the tube that flows into our outside sink.” T.I.G.
Thanks for participating, ladies!!
And, here are ours for this week:
I slid down a waterfall like a slide. Time of my life. T.I.G.
Lastly, we just discovered that the doberman at the end of the street that always tries to attack our dog is, in fact, named Sparkles. (That’s Sparkles with an s, people). T.I.G.
__________
How cool is that!?! I’ll have to put sliding down a rock waterfall on my life list.
What fun! Gorgeous waterfall too!
Yaaay for blogging bffs! 🙂 That waterfall slide looks AMAZING. And I want to meet Sparkles even though he sounds like a killer. Is it weird that we both named our dogs after beverages? Assuming you did name Julep after a beverage. 🙂
I need to do this next week (maybe take a break from my wedding wednesday business!!)
I love the waterfall!
Your desire to lie down on a couch reminds me of your comment made at age 16 from boarding school! The comment was “I just want to be in My Own House, Lie on My Own Sofa, watch My Own TV and see My Own Disney Channel!!!”. It was a really funny way to describe your idea of downtime. Now you have your choice of beautiful beaches! Love Mom
